WWII Vintage War Planes in Sioux Falls This Weekend

If you're a history buff, war expert, lover of airplanes or just want something different and cool to do this weekend in Sioux Falls, you might want to check out the Wings of Freedom Tour that will be at Joe Foss Field Friday through Sunday (July 12-14)

One of only eight vintage B-17's in flying condition in the United States will be here this weekend (pictured) as will the ONLY B-24J and F-51C that are still flying in the entire world!

Hours are 2-5pm Friday and 9-5 Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $12 per person to tour the planes inside and out, $6 for children 12 and under. WWII Veterans get into the ground tours at no charge,

But if you want to take the experience to new 'heights' you can make your reservations!

Flight Experiences Donations are $425 per person aboard the B-17 or B-24.

Flight training in the TP-51C "Betty Jane" will be at most locations on the Wings of Freedom Tour. Flight training in the P-51 is $2200 for a half hour flight, and $3200 for a full hour. All participants will get the chance to feel what it was like to fly one of the most legendary fighters of WWII.
