Will the Rolling Stones appear at the upcoming 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden? According to the show's organizers, an invitation has been offered to the band -- but timing and logistics might prevent them from playing. John Sykes, the President of Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises told Rolling Stone: "There's been talk of that. The challenge is they have a full-blown dress rehearsal on the 12th or the 13th because their Pay Per View special is on the 15th. But, yeah, there have been conversations with them. Mick (Jagger) and Keith (Richards) came out for The Concert For New York City 11 years ago and played on their own. They're well aware of the show and certainly have been invited to be part of it in any way, shape or form of the band."

As it stands now, the headliners -- Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, the Who, Roger Waters, and Kanye West -- will all play "roughly 45-minute sets," with special guests like Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, and Alicia Keys sitting in with "one or more of the main acts." There's been no announcement as to when tickets for the event will go on sale.
