I remember the first time I went to a 'Crooks Christmas' in Crooks, SD. I had heard about a guy who had decorated his entire house in Christmas lights that were synchronized with holiday songs that you could hear by tuning your radio to a certain frequency. Cars lined up for blocks to see what Joe Noe had done and drop off a donation for Make A Wish of South Dakota. After several successful years for the charity (and backing up traffic in Crooks!) Joe partnered with the Western Mall and passed the torch as the display continues every holiday season here in Sioux Falls.

A family in Naperville, Illinois loved the concept so much that they decided to do their own display as a fundraiser for Gigi's Playhouse, which works with people afflicted with Down Syndrome. But they didn't want to wait until  Christmas to do their display. They moved it to Halloween, and it's spectacular! By the way, the owner of the house goes so far as going by the name "Thomas Halloween"!

Here's two of the songs from his display: Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and AC/DC's "Hells Bells". The display also includes Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Lady Gaga's "Poker Face".
