With today (9/28) being National Beer Drinking Day, the website 24/7 Wall St is out with a list of the nine states that drink the most beer - and guess who's $3?

That's right kids, us. South Dakota came in at #3 with an annual per capita consumption of 38.6 gallons of beer.

We just edged out North Dakota for third. Since 2011 consumption in South Dakota increased by nearly a gallon, while it dropped 3.5 gallons in North Dakota.

Coming in at #2 on the list is Montana with an average per capita consumption rate of 39.1 gallons. New Hampshire holds the #1 spot with a consumption rate of 41.7 gallons.

If you'd like to read more about it and find out what factors were used to rank the top nine states, go to the 24/7 Wall St website.
