What is the Status of Derrick Rose’s Return?

Almost a year ago, the city of Chicago held its breath for its star point guard. The city is still waiting today for the return of Chicago-native. So, what's taking Derrick Rose so long to come back from a torn ACL in last year's playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers?

Bulls fans are getting antsy anticipating the return of star point guard Derrick Rose, but still no date has been set for him to make his first game appearence.

Rose has been cleared by medical doctors, and is just waiting for his mental confidence in his left knee to be good enough for him to return to the lineup for the Bulls.

Rose told Yahoo! Sports, "I'm feeling healthy, man. That's the only thing that matters."

Head coach Tom Thibodeau told Yahoo! Sports as well, "I see his improvement each and every day, and I've told him we've waited this long and we don't mind waiting until he is completely comfortable to play. And if that means a couple more games, five games, whatever it is. And that would be for any player, we don't want to put someone out there that is not comfortable with being out there."

However, in Rose's missed time, he has been working on his three-point shot. In his career, he hasn't shot over 35 percent, and now Rose believes that it is has gotten better. Rose has also worked on his left-handed runner shot.

It sounds like Rose is going to come back better than he was, and Bulls fans should keep waiting for their star because the future is Derrick Rose in Chicago.
