How You Can Help Newtown, Connecticut

Someone once told me that our children are our greatest commodity.  With the loss of those in Newtown, Connecticut just before Christmas you may have been searching for way to reach out and help.

I read a story about a website DonorsChoose.org and it gives me perspective on how teachers and the education community help one another.  And, as the children and teachers are now returning to school in Newtown, what better way to offer support.

Their slogan:  Teachers ask.  You choose.

It could be something as simple as colored pencils for art.  Or a monetary donation as little as a dollar.
