One of, if not thee, the hottest outlaw sprint racers on the planet is Mark Dobmeier. He's out of Grand Forks, North Dakota driving the Dobmeier/ Lunstra Motorsports number 13 car.

It was the race of the year on July 2, 2014 at Huset's Speedway. Dobmeier came from deep in the field in The World of Outlaw race for the victory.

He had the crowd entertained exchanging the lead with Sammy Swindell early in the race. And then put them on the edge of their seats holding off Donny Schatz at the end.

Dobmeier explained, 'I knew I had to make my moves early in the race before rubber went down.' He also said his tire was pretty much fried at the end of the night.

I got his reaction to various things. One of which, asking about possibly being more aggressive with his driving today.

His answer was, 'I've always been aggressive since I started.' He added, 'If you don't wreck a car every year, you're not driving hard enough.'

Dobmeier loves feeling the electricity of the fans. Watch this interview and get a sense for how nice this guy is as well as being a great driver. In my 46 years of being at the tracks, he's one of the best I've seen.

And please forgive some flaws in my camera work. I'm a microphone guy, not a camera man. But here I'm running my own camera. Or should I say attempting to.
