The Sioux Falls community will mobilize this fall to plant hundreds of trees in the area---replacing those lost in the April ice storm.

Sara Carothers of the Helpline Center says volunteers are needed for the project.

"On October 26th, from 9am to 1pm, volunteers are needed to go out and plant trees at the homes of people who are disabled or who are low income.  Young kids can help their parents.  Churches, businesses and community groups are also welcome to participate."

If you'd like to help out, Sara encourages you to call the Helpline at 2-2-1 and register for the event.
