Volunteer Opportunities across the Sioux Empire
The EmBe 5K is a community run/walk that supports all programming within the organization, as well as celebrate the Spring season of Girls on the Run, Girls on Track and the new boys program called Let Me Run. Volunteers are needed to help with the run on Saturday May 2at 8:00 AM at Yankton Trail Park.
The Southeast Area Spring Games for Special Olympics will be held in Brandon, SD on May 2, 2015. Volunteers are needed to assist in managing any one of a number of track and field events. No athletic experience is needed. You will be provided with simple instructions on site the day of the event. Please keep in mind that this is an outdoor event hosted at a High School track.
Henry’s Run is a 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention. Proceeds from Henry’s Run benefiting Child Advocacy Centers of South Dakota (CACSD) as well as Child’s Voice. The proceeds will be used to further the efforts of child abuse prevention/ Volunteers are needed on Saturday, April 25from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Falls Park.
Do you have one to two hours a day, a week, or a month to help the Senior Nutrition Program at Active Generations? They are in need of Meals on Wheels (MOW) delivery drivers. MOW delivery time each day is from 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM, and most routes only take about an hour, so you can do it during your lunch hour.
