EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Adrian Peterson is dealing with an abdominal injury, but should be ready to help the Minnesota Vikings in their bid to earn a playoff spot with a victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Peterson leads the NFL with 1,898 yards and is 207 yards away from Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record. The star running back sat out the final minutes of Sunday’s 23-6 win at Houston, with coach Leslie Frazier calling it a precautionary measure.

Peterson ran for 86 yards against the Texans, ending his streak of eight 100-yard games.

The Vikings (9-6) would clinch a postseason berth with a win over the NFC North champion Packers (11-4).
