The moment Vikings fans have been waiting for has come. The team has selected a new quarterback, to cover for Teddy Bridgewater after his devastating ACL injury. The chosen one is Sam Bradford, of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Minnesota has given up a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, followed by a fourth-round pick in the 2018 draft to the Eagles, in order to acquire Bradford.

Bradford, age 28, was first drafted by the St. Louis Rams with the first overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. He is a former teammate of Viking's running back Adrian Peterson.

In the 2015 season, Bradford landed 19 touchdowns, 14 interceptions and completed 65 percent of passes. He will certainly be the starter on Minnesota's roster, topping Shaun Hill and rookie Joel Stave.
