The Minnesota Vikings have exercised an option on coach Leslie Frazier's contract for 2014.

According to the Associated Press and confirmed by two media outlets in the Twin Cities the deal has not been officially announced and terms were not immediately known.

Frazier took over with six games to go in the 2010 season for fired Brad Childress. He is 16-22 in the regular season since then.

Frazier was entering the final year of his deal. He went 3-13 in his first full season, but rebounded to lead the rebuilding to team to the playoffs in his second year.
