Adrian Peterson ran for 199 yards and scored two touchdowns and rookie kicker Blair Walsh kicked three field goals including the game winner as the Minnesota Vikings downed the Green Bay Packers 37-34 Sunday afternoon to propel the Vikings into the post-season.

Peterson finishes the season with 2,097 yards on the season, the second most in NFL history (Eric Dickerson holds the record of 2,105 set in 1984) It was Peterson's 10th 100 yard game of the year and 7th over 150.

Minnesota quarterback Christian Ponder played well, throwing for 234 yards and three touchdowns. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns in the loss.

There's no rest for the weary. The Vikings travel to Green Bay to face the Packers next weekend in the play-offs. For Vikings fans (like me) it's already been one hell of a season. SKOL!
