Van Halen's 2012 release, A Different Kind of Truth, is the Number-One album of the year according to the staff of Guitar World. It was their first studio effort with David Lee Roth in close to 30 years and was followed by the latest from Rush, Clockwork Angels, Periphery and Periphery Two at number-three, ZZ Top's La Futura at four and Psychedelic Pill from Neil Young and Crazy Horse at five.
