Rock Report: Van Halen: Smart Kid

Wolfgang Van Halen, bass player for Van Halen and guitarist Eddie Van Halen's son, has been playing and touring with the band Tremonti, featuring his friend Mark Tramonti from Creed and Alter Bridge, and is having so much fun doing it, he wants to continue.

At least the kid is still gainfully employed while his 'other' band is on hiatus following his dad's stomach surgery that will sideline him for 4-6 months. Eddie is doing well in his recovery though, recently taking in a Smashing Pumpkins show in L.A.

Maybe it'll open the door for Michael Anthony to come back to Van Halen??
