Ladies know the many benefits of wearing a sports bra while exercising. Not only do they provide support for the "girls", but they can also be comfortable, help regulate a woman's body temperature, absorb sweat and can even save a gal's life!

Okay, wearing an underwire sports bra is NOT recommended as a bullet-proof vest, but on at least two occasions, they have saved lives.

Most recently, a woman and her husband were riding their bikes in Germany when they accidentally rode into a wild boar hunt. The couple heard gun fire and the woman felt a flash of pain to her chest. The woman could have been killed by the bullet, but instead, it richocheted off the underwire of her sports bra, leaving her with only an ugly bruise.

By the way, the wild boar that the hunter was shooting at was found dead, but authorities believe that the bullet deflected off of the boar, then struck the woman in the chest. The hunter is being investigated for negligent injury.

Earlier this year, a woman in Brazil was also saved by the underwire in her black, lace bra. After stepping out of a shop to investigate a commotion in the street, the woman was shot in the chest by a robber on the other side of the street.

The report by the authorities contained pictures of the dress and bra that the woman was wearing. The dress had a small entrance hole on the chest, and the underwire black, lace bra contained a squashed bullet.
