UPDATE: The name of the second victim was released late Wednesday afternoon.

Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says an investigation is underway into a single vehicle crash late Tuesday evening.

"As the car came upon Bahnson Avenue, it ended up losing control and hit a light signal. Once the vehicle struck the signal, it burst into flames. There were two people inside the car. Both of them were taken out and eventually taken to a burn unit in Minneapolis."

As part of the investigation, Clemens is asking for the public's help.

"We are going to do a reconstruction on the crash and find out what happened. We would like any information if people saw a car or cars that were driving at a high rate of speed sometime before the crash. We think somewhere in the southern part of Sioux Falls. If anybody has any information, we ask them to call police."

Clemens says witnesses to the crash believe the vehicle was speeding between 70 and 90 miles per hour.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 21-year-old Tiffany Bass of Sioux Falls. The passenger's name is 22 year-old Calvin DeFrance, Jr. Injuries for both are considered to be serious, but the exact condition of the two victims are unknown.
