I've got to admit that working here at Results Radio I've had to become a bit more "Tech Savvy" than I probably would have been otherwise.  But even if that were not the case, Mr. Holiday's high school health class taught me all about the finer points of STD's.

Apparently not everyone went to school in Crosby, Minnesota.  According to the LA Times lots of people are very confused about technology terms.  Here is what their latest survey revealed.

11% of people think HTML is a sexually transmitted disease.

12% of Americans think USB is an acronym for a European country.

18% think Blu-ray is a marine animal.
-(digital optical disc data storage)
23% think MP3 is a "Star Wars" robot.
-(MPEG-2 Audio Layer III,[4] more commonly referred to as MP3)
27% think a gigabyte is an insect found in South America.
-(1 gigabyte is 1,000,000,000bytes)
42% think a motherboard is the deck of a cruise ship.
-(It's main circuit board found in computers)
77% of respondents could not identify what SEO means.
-(SEO stands for "Search-Engine Optimization")
15% said they believed "software" is comfortable clothing.
-(Software is a general term for computer programs.)
61% say it's important to have strong knowledge of technology in this day and age.
