I know my wife and I aren't the only ones. I'm talking about families with a graduating senior this year. It's a fun and busy time of year.

I say that because our son Tad is our youngest. Tad will graduate from Washington High School May, 18th. Yep, our third  and final graduation. I'm kind of anxious to see if our previous experience helps.

This week I'll finish fine tuning the garage. That's where we've had all of our graduation parties. Our first was pretty dramatic. The big question was, what to do with all the stuff in the garage? Our backyard neighbors know our secret. We haul it all out behind the house and stack it up out of sight from the visitors. Pretty redneck huh?

Throughout the week I'll 'shut down' for a few minutes to let you in on 'what's going on,' as we get ready for the big day. I'll probably take Thursday and Friday off to finish with some of the fixing up. There's a reason for that too. In the past we found that If we waited to do all the work on Saturday, it was impossible to make it to other open houses in the neighborhood.

It's kind of a busy time of year but this time I'm not going to sweat it. Instead, I think I'll use it as time to reflect on one part of life that's almost done!

Congratulations graduates and Congratulations parents!
