Time for Dose of Small Town South Dakota Hospitality

Life is better when you have balance. For every restaurant patron that fat-shames the wait staff, there has to be a person on the other end who knows how to treat people.

Since this story does come from my hometown and there are also familial ties with a cousin of mine marrying into the family who owns the business, it heightens my interest in telling the tale. You can read the Facebook link that accompanies, but the general feel is you make the best of a bad situation.

The Two Spurs Steakhouse in Wagner, South Dakota hosted some business folk from out of town. Unfortunately, that day the credit card machine was out of commission.

With no cash to cover the bill, the solution was simple. Have a little faith in people.

Where else will you be told, “Here’s our address. Keep the bill. Send us a check when you can”?
