Rick Adelman is the eighth winningest coach in NBA history, and the second among active coaches behind George Karl.

Adelman is 49-83 with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but has provided stability and potential for the team despite injuries to key players in both years.

The 22-year old veteran coach told NBA.com yesterday that if his wife's health issues don't get better soon, then he many call it quits on his coaching career with the Timberwolves.

In January, Adelman left the Timberwolves for 11 games to help his wife battle through her seizures. In his absence, the Timberwolves were 2-9.

He said when possibly returning for a third season withe the Timberwolves, "I think it's something I'm just going to have to sit down with my wife and family and just talk about and see where I'm going with this. The most important thing is where we're going with her health. Whatever happens will happen naturally."

Adelman wants to not the speculation of him not returning affect the rest of the season.
