The Who is continuing their efforts to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. Less than a month after playing the all-star Sandy benefit at New York's Madison Square Garden comes word that Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey are helping a club across the East River in Queens, New York.

The LIC Bar, in the Long Island City section of Queens, lost its entire sound system when its basement took on seven feet of water. The band was notified about this when they played in Brooklyn in November. Gustavo Rodriguez, the club's talent booker, says, “The Who asked their people …about our plight [and] then decided to send us complimentary replacement gear. They’re sending free amplifiers and microphones to replace those lost in the flood." The equipment is expected to arrive shortly.
