aurora borealis, was spotted near Sioux Falls Monday night all thanks to a plasma blast from the sun on Father's Day. Traveling 93 million miles in one day was quite a feat, even for a solar flare. NOAA said it traveled faster than normal and the most powerful since 2005.

The good news is that forecasters say it could be visible on Tuesday night as well in cased you missed it.

The forecast for Sioux Falls calls for partly cloudy skies Tuesday night with calm conditions. Great night for backyard camping with the kids.
