According to reports, the Miami Marlins will host the 2017 MLB All Star Game.

Miami will follow up Cincinnati as the host city in 2015 and San Diego in 2016.

The Marlins opened their new stadium in 2012 and have not had anything close to an All Star lineup on the field.

First-year commissioner Rob Manfred has said in the future he hopes to have a bidding process for All-Star Game host cities, but according to other reports, out going commissioner Bud Selig has stated there have been promises in place for some venues and cities already.
