If you've driven down Louise Avenue recently, you've notice a lot of new businesses and construction. By the end of the year or early 2017, you'll be able to try five new restaurants on one of the busiest streets in Sioux Falls.

Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bagels will be opening in the vacant space next to Five Guys Burgers and Fries at 49th and Louise.

Drive a few blocks south to 53rd and Louise and you'll notice the old house that used to be home to the non-profit organization Dress for Success has been bulldozed, trees cut down and work has begun on the second Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen in Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union is building a new office to the south of Popeye's (and past the out-of-place residential home).

Across the street there is a new strip mall that is fully leased. A UPS Store will occupy the north end of the strip mall.  Treasures from the Heart moved from its location just off 57th and Louise to the new mall (and much larger space) just around the corner. Sioux Falls' first Charles Schwab, led by financial consultant Lonnie Struckman, has opened an office in the new strip mall. Anchoring the south end of the mall is Mexican restaurant Panchero's which is set to open this month.

Next to Lewis at 69th and Louise, the fifth Sioux Falls Culver's is being built.

The city is growing and Louise Avenue is a prime spot for new businesses with plenty of land still available south of 69th and Louise.

Oh, and would someone please buy the building that was supposed to be Quaker Steak and Lube/The Draft and put a Cheesecake Factory in there!
