You know it's spring when the dust devils start coming out. Especially when they want to play some softball.

On April 16, at a college softball game in Lynchburg, Virginia, a dust devil (or dirt devil, I guess) wanted to get in on the game.

The devil tried to make it around the bases, but just ended up getting in everyone's way. So, the umpire stopped play for a few minutes while it wound itself down.

Dust devils form when hot air near the surface rises quickly through a small pocket of cooler, low-pressure air above it. If conditions are just right, the air may begin to rotate. - Wikipedia
