Just the other day, we learned that 'The Avengers 2' was officially adding Elizabeth Olsen to the cast as Scarlet Witch. Now what about her brother? Well, after months of teasing his involvement, it looks like Olsen's 'Godzilla' co-star, Aaron Johnson, is officially on board as well, playing her on-screen sibling Quicksilver.

With Samuel L. Jackson revealing Olsen's casting, followed by a confirmation of her contract deal, Latino Review reports that Johnson is also officially locked down in his role. It was certainly expected. A few months back, the 'Kick-Ass' star emerged as Marvel's frontrunner to play the role, and was then speaking of the character as if he already landed the job.

Speaking with Total Film recently, Johnson described Quicksilver thusly:

Him and his sister [Scarlet Witch] have been abandoned by their parents and their father, and they grew up in Eastern Europe defending and looking out for themselves and each other. His sister really is his guidance – emotionally she’s the one who looks after him, and vice versa. He’s very overprotective physically – he doesn’t want anyone touching her. He has real anger frustration – I like that. I always thought it’d be quite funny if you saw him eating loads and people asked him why and he’d explain it’s because he’s burning so much energy all the time. Or ideas that you’d see him come back round – but he’s already nipped out and got his lunch somewhere else. He just got bored – his attention span is so fucking quick.

The pair join the already cast James Spader, playing the villain Ultron, in 'The Avengers 2,' and director Joss Whedon says their presence will be a huge part of the film. Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) will all presumably be back for the next run, though Gwyneth Paltrow revealed there probably won't be another small appearance by Pepper Potts.

'The Avengers 2' will hit theaters May 1, 2015. Check out the teaser for the hotly anticipated sequel from Comic-Con 2013 below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
