Ultimate Classic Rock is proud to premiere the video for Temple of Rock's "Live and Let Live," which serves as the opening track from the band's upcoming Spirit on a Mission.

We're not the only ones, by the way, who love this rocking track. "'Live and Let Live' is one of my favorites on the new album," Temple of Rock leader Michael Schenker tells us. "I love the energy. It keeps going and going, with great vocals and great vocal melodies. It has a lot of guitar sprinkles all over, and represents the album at least 50 percent."

Spirit on a Mission represents its own journey for Schenker, perhaps best known for his work with UFO. Four of his guitars -- and the computers containing the early mixes of this project -- were stolen from the studio, setting Schenker way behind.

Temple of Rock, however, kept at it -- and the work paid off. Now set for a March 23 release, Spirit on a Mission ended up featuring performances that Schenker said were greatly improved through retakes. Temple of Rock are rounded out by Wayne Findlay, ex-Rainbow singer Doogie White and former Scorpions Herman Rarebell and Francis Buchholz.

Schenker rose to early fame as a guitarist with the Scorpions between 1969–73. He later participated in a brief reunion in 1978–79, after working with UFO from 1973-78. Schenker has returned to UFO on several occasions, all while establishing a well-regarded solo career, principally with the Michael Schenker Group. He also briefly joined Ratt, replacing Robbin Crosby for the band's 1990 performance on MTV Unplugged.
