Teen DUI Kills 4 Gets Off Due to “AFFLUENZA’ [VIDEO]

In Fort Worth, Texas, a 16-year-old boy who was drunk when he killed four people with his car got probation this week because the judge agreed with the boy’s defense that he was a victim of “Affluenza”.  The prosecution had argued for a punishment of 20 years in prison.

This is where parents teach that wealth and privilege shield consequences.  Basically Couch's attorney argued that his client was too rich and privileged to know right from wrong, as he had never been punished for previous transgressions.

Ethan Couch admitted to four counts of manslaughter after he and seven other boys stole alcohol from a Walmart last June, piled into his car and struck and killed four pedestrians while going 70 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone.

One of his passengers remains in the hospital with severe brain damage, and nine other bystanders were also injured. Couch’s blood alcohol content was a .24 and he also had Valium in his system.

Couch's parents say that:

- Couch was allowed to drink at a very young age.
- Couch’s parents gave no punishment after police caught him in a parked pickup with a passed out, undressed 14-year-old girl. Couch was 15 at the time.
