Ted Nugent – Closer to Running?

It's election time again, and once again Ted Nugent is threatening to run for office.

He's actually one step closer, having recently signed on as the co-chairman and treasurer of a Texas Republican's campaign to become the state's next Agriculture Commissioner. But Nugent adds that he's being prodded to consider running himself. But, he says, "I don't know. At this point it would be up to Mrs. Nugent and my family." And if he did, he says he believes he would "perform an enormous upgrade in returning to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and most important of all, accountability."

Nugent, a staunch Republican, lives in Texas, where he says he will soon undergo knee replacement surgery.
