A woman from Tea who gave a pedestrian a ride early Saturday in Sioux Falls wound up being robbed at knifepoint for her good deed.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says the 25-year-old woman was driving on Minnesota Avenue nrear 33rd Street around 3:30am Saturday when she saw a woman walking and offered her a ride.

Clemens says they were headed for 26th and Menlo when things turned bad:

"The passenger said that she needed to get out, so the driver stopped," explained Clemens. "The passenger then pulled out a knife and demanded cash from the driver. The victim ended up giving her some cash and the suspect left on foot."

The suspect was described as a Native American female, five feet tall and weighing around 120 pounds.
