I can easily drop 50 bucks in Target by just going in to grab toilet paper, so I was baffled when I saw a story that said Target was closing some of its stores.

According to a statement released today (November 4, 2015), the decision was based on the poor financial performance of the the stores and "not about the broader company in any way."

The Target stores that will be closing include:

New Ulm, Minnesota
Ottumwa, Iowa
Austin North East in Austin, Texas
Suncoast Pasco County in Odessa, Florida
Casa Grande, Arizona
Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky
Victorville, California
East Flint in Flint, Michigan
Columbus Southwest in Columbus, Ohio
Northridge in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Superior, Wisconsin
Springfield, Ohio
Anderson, Indiana

The stores will remain open through the holiday season. The company plans to close them on Jan. 30, 2016.
