Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman (#5 above) threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns while rookie running back Doug Martin exploded for 214 total yards and two scores as the Buccaneers improved to 3-4 with a 36-17 drubbing of the Minnesota Vikings (5-3) in Thursday Night Football at Mall of America Field in Minneapolis.

The Vikings committed two costly turnovers in their own territory on fumbles by Jerome Simpson and Adrian Peterson that Tampa Bay turned into ten points on their way to an early 13-0 lead before Percy Harvin got Minnesota on the scoreboard with an 18 yard TD reception from Christian Ponder.

Freeman threw his second TD of the first half on a 3-yarder to WR Mike Williams as Tampa Bay went into the half with a 20-10 lead.

Martin took a swing pass from Freeman early in the 3rd quarter 64 yards for a score. Later in the 3rd, Adrian Peterson answered for the Vikings with a 64 yard TD run of his own to close the score back to 30-17. Martin ran it in from a yard out in the 4th quarter to cap the scoring.

Ponder had another rough outing as he completed just 19 of 35 passes for 251 yards. He was intercepted late in the game and was sacked three times and harassed all night by the Tampa defense.

Peterson set another Vikings record by rushing for over 100 yards for the 30th time in his career, passing Robert Smith. AP ran 15 times for 123 yards and the score. Harvin led receivers with 7 catches for 90 yards and the score.

The Vikings travel to Seattle next Sunday to face the Seahawks at 3pm while Tampa Bay travels to Oakland.
