NBC Orders More 'Whitney'

It's hard to believe that only a few short months ago, NBC comedies 'Whitney' and 'Community' were both banished to the Friday night wasteland, presumably to burn off their final seasons. Then, NBC stepped in to rescue both by delaying their returns in favor of greater promotional pushes, but to date only 'Whitney' has seen the light of day. Now NBC seems to be placing additional faith in 'Whitney,' ordering additional episodes for the series, but will 'Community' recieve the same treatment?

Granted the two series aren't actually in competition, 'Community' fans grudge against 'Whitney' has just gotten even bigger. Where once both series were scheduled to debut on Friday, October 19, NBC opted to delay the launch and fit each in at a later date. 'Whitney' quickly got placement into the failing 'Animal Practice' slot, leaving 'Community' to rot until February, so how could things get any worse? When NBC orders even more scripts for the critically-maligned 'Whitney,' of course!
