With 2012 coming to a close, Billboard has taken the time to compile the numbers from this year's tours, and the two musicians who played the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit show on Wednesday, Bruce Springsteen and Roger Waters, placed very high on their list.
It's hard to find anyone better than New Jersey's home state hero Bruce Springsteen when it comes to opening a benefit show for victims of the East Coast's Hurricane Sandy. As expected, the inspirational rocker kicked off the '12-12-12' benefit on a high note, and he welcomed a fellow New Jersey favorite in Jon Bon Jovi to raise the excitement level even higher. Springsteen and a Roger Waters-Eddie Vedder collaboration were among the early highlights of the '12-12-12' benefit.
It's looking like tonight's '12-12-12' benefit show will be one to remember. Not only is Paul McCartney heavily rumored to be joining the living members of Nirvana onstage, but former Pink Floyd leader Roger Waters says he's preparing a collaboration with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder for the broadcast.

The show will be broadcast worldwide on TV, radio and the Web, with an estimated one billion viewers or listeners potentially tuning in globally. Among the TV and cable channels carrying the concert in the U.S. are CBS, AMC, HBO, MSG, Showtime, VH1 Classic, Fuse and PBS. Roger Waters waded into the world of foreign relations yesterday (Nov 29) when he addressed the United Nations. In a 25-minute speech, he spoke out against alleged violations of international law by Israel against the Palestinian people.
