Ringo to Appear on New ‘Powerpuff Girls’ Special

Few things seemed more incongruous on children's television in 1989 than Ringo Starr's time on PBS' show, 'Shining Time Station' (apart, of course, from when George Carlin took over for Ringo a year later). Starr is about to make the year spent as 'Mr. Conductor' look perfectly normal later this year when he lends his talents to a Cartoon Network special of 'The Powerpuff Girls.'

Harry Nilsson was one of a kind. Ace songwriter, amazing singer and outrageous drinking comrade to the stars are just a few of the fine things on his resume. In 1971, he recorded an album called 'The Point,' which accompanied an animated film of the same name. Rock Report: Ringo Touring Australia & Japan [VIDEO]

Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band have announced a six-date swing through New Zealand and Japan, with the tour's Australia dates set to be announced on October 26th. Ringo kicks off the overseas shows on February 7th, 2013 in Christchurch, New Zealand and, as of now, winds down the trek on March 1st in Osaka, Japan.

John Lennon ‘Letters’ Book Out Now

Out today (October 8th) is the Yoko Ono sanctioned book, The John Lennon Letters. Tomorrow (October 9th) marks what would've been Lennon's 72nd birthday. The John Lennon Letters was edited by noted Beatles author Hunter Davies and features letters sent by the late Beatle to lovers, friends, family, and fans from every point in his life, and culled from a collection over nearly 300 letters and postcards. Highlights include Lennon's rants to and against the press, Yoko bashers, producer George Martin, and Paul and Linda McCartney.
