Don’t Worry, Dane Cook Still Getting His Own NBC Series

Love him or hate him, reactions certainly ran the gamut when NBC announced that it had partnered for a single-camera sitcom featuring controversial comedian Dane Cook as the acerbic radio host of 'Next Caller.' Initially picked up to series, NBC reportedly changed their minds about the series after shooting four episodes, pulling the plug on production, but Cook seems to have found yet another home. The "Harmful if Swallowed" comedian has put into development a new starring series with the network, but what can fans expect from Dane Cook this time?

Whitney Season 2 Additional Episodes

NBC Orders More ‘Whitney’

It's hard to believe that only a few short months ago, NBC comedies 'Whitney' and 'Community' were both banished to the Friday night wasteland, presumably to burn off their final seasons. Then, NBC stepped in to rescue both by delaying their returns in favor of greater promotional pushes, but to date only 'Whitney' has seen the light of day. Now NBC seems to be placing additional faith in 'Whitney,' ordering additional episodes for the series, but will 'Community' recieve the same treatment?

As 'The Office' prepares to head into its final run of episodes, finally closing the door on Dunder-Mifflin after nine years, we've been expecting a flurry of guest stars to come out of the woodwork. ‘SNL’ Deleted Scene

While most would agree that 'SNL's' most recent turn with 'Django Unchained' star Jamie Foxx hosting and musical guest Ne-Yo stayed mostly level, it's no secret that a portion of 'SNL' viewers tune in to see which sketches can make the performers break. "The Californians" has been known to get cast members giggling, partiuclarly Bill Hader and Fred Armisen, but we've never seen them lose it so hard as a deleted sketch from Saturday featuring the pair as doormen. Cromwell Books Next TV Gig on NBC’s ‘Do No Harm’

For months now we've seen veteran actor James Cromwell pop up in the most unusual of places, first taking a regular, bald and goateed role as sinister Nazi Dr. Arden of 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' and even unexpectedly popping up on the third season of 'Boardwalk Empire' as historical figure Andrew Mellon. Up All Night Season 2 Three Camera Linda Wallem

‘Up All Night’ Hires ‘Nurse Jackie’ Creator for Relaunch

Though few were surprised to see that NBC would take action to curb 'Up All Night's' ratings downfall, no one quite expected that the network would put the Will Arnett/Christina Applegate-fronted comedy on hiatus to re-tool from a single-camera effort to a three-camera sitcom. The new format is no guarantee of success, but should be in good hands now that NBC has tapped former 'Nurse Jackie' showrunner Linda Wallem to manage the show in its new incarnation. Will you watch a re-tooled 'Up All Night'?

‘Freaks and Geeks’ All-Star Cast Reunites

Many classic but cancelled series hold the distinction of featuring a number of A-list stars before making their big breaks, but few hold such a distinguished roster as Judd Apatow's cancelled 2000 NBC series 'Freaks and Geeks.' The retro series featured the likes of James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini, Lizzy Caplan, Busy Philipps, Martin Starr and even Thomas Wilson (Biff of 'Back to the Future'), despite only running 18 episodes. Twelve years later, are you ready to see the entire cast reunite?

NBC Keeps ‘Ironside’ Rolling with New Reboot

NBC may not have had much luck reviving 'The Munsters' into 'Mockingbird Lane' earlier this year, but if CBS can revive past shows like 'Hawaii Five-0' successfully, who's to stop NBC from trying again? The peacock has next gotten the ball rolling on rebooting '60s-era wheelchair-bound detective 'Ironside,' who was famously forced to find alternative methods of fighting crime after being left paralyzed from the waist down. Who might be ready to take the chair as the new 'Ironside?'
