Make no mistake: this was a slow and bad weekend at the box office, an example of the January doldrums at their absolute worst. However, this was probably the only environment where a film titled 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' could have flourished, so at least someone is happy.

You would think that a movie starring Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Elizabeth Banks, Jason Sudeikis, Seth MacFarlane, Richard Gere, Josh Duhamel, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris wouldn't have a hard time finding an audience. But things haven't been easy for 'Movie 43,' the sketch comedy movie that started filming back in 2010. Despite the all-star cast, the movie won't have any preview screenings before it opens in theaters on Friday. It might not be accurate to call the red-band trailer for 'Movie 43' "short and sweet", because while it is short, there's nothing sweet about it. It's only offers up about one minute of footage from the upcoming raunchy anthology, but it's enough to make you blush, gag or both.
