'Ghost Brothers of Darkland County,' the Southern gothic musical with lyrics by Stephen King and music by John Mellencamp and T-Bone Burnett, will embark on a 20-city American tour beginning in October.
For a guy whose longtime nickname is 'Little Bastard,' John Mellencamp sure can be a softie when it comes to the right cause -- or if he's approached by famous pals like, say, actor Matthew McConaughey, recording artist Jack Ingram, and University of Texas football coach Mack Brown.

The star-studded album will be available on March 13, 2013. It's not clear when and if the musical will make its full-scale debut.
John Mellencamp had an article posted in the Huffington Post Thursday (October 25) titled "Good News! Ten Commandments Reduced To Only Nine" in which he rails against what he believes are internet thieves who have used legal loopholes to avoid the copyright laws for musicians and artists
Just in case you saw the title of the upcoming movie 'Jack & Diane' and wondered if maybe John Mellencamp had something to do with it, he's issued a press release clearing up any possible confusion.
