Which NBC Series Might Get an Early Renewal?

Though still somewhat early in the Upfront seasons, several major broadcast networks have already gone ahead to grant early renewals to their strongest-performing series. Given NBC's troubled lineup over the past few months, however, no firm plans have been laid among even its strongest hits. 'Community's "Herstory of Dance" Had An Alternate Ending?

Last night's all-new 'Community' episode "Herstory of Dance" ran the gamut among critics, but in most cases offered up one of the better, and more evenly balanced episodes of season. Curiously however, its ending tag didn't add anything to the episode itself, but rather gave a preview to next week's puppet-centric "Intro to Felt Surrogacy." We didn't think anything of it at the time, but how would you like to see the episode's alternate ending?

NBC Orders More 'Whitney'

It's hard to believe that only a few short months ago, NBC comedies 'Whitney' and 'Community' were both banished to the Friday night wasteland, presumably to burn off their final seasons. Then, NBC stepped in to rescue both by delaying their returns in favor of greater promotional pushes, but to date only 'Whitney' has seen the light of day. Now NBC seems to be placing additional faith in 'Whitney,' ordering additional episodes for the series, but will 'Community' recieve the same treatment?
