“Style & The City” Fashion Show At The Icon Aims To Raise Thousands and Awareness
Chelsea Pickner is the epitome of a successful, confident businesswoman, but she knows not all women are where she is. Her business goal, since she was only 20 and opened her first boutique, has been to make women look fabulous on the outside and give them a feeling of confidence on the inside.
Interestingly, Dress For Success has the same goals, they just come at it from a different direction. The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help women find jobs and stay employed.
Luckily Chelsea and Dress For Success have gotten together to combine goals and make a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged women in our community.
This Wednesday night at the Icon Event Hall & Lounge Chelsea's Boutique and Dress for Success, Sioux Falls, present the "Style and the City" Fashion show. Doors open at 7:00 and the Fashion Show starts at 8. Tickets are only $25 and 20% of ticket proceeds will go to Dress For Success.
