After all of the excitement that came with its announcement, things have gotten very quiet on the 'Star Wars Episode 7' front. However, pages from a mysterious 'Star Wars' project titled 'Star Wars: Reclamation' have appeared online, suggesting that Disney may have more in the works than we know about.

Bleeding Cool has posted six pages from what appears to be an official pitch (dated November, 2012) for a new 'Star Wars' animated series that would take place between 'Return of the Jedi' and the upcoming Episode 7. Most telling is a sentence in the overview, which says that 'Star Wars: Reclamation' is a "...story designed to introduce the audience to themes and characters pivotal to Episode VII and beyond." Bleeding Cool also says that the show was quietly greenlit in January before being put on hold recently. (Recently, as in, when J.J. Abrams signed on to direct.)

Naturally, this could be a dead project. Or it could be a project that never got past the pitch phase. Or it could be a very elaborate fake. We do know that Dave Filoni of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' is supposedly working on a new animated series, but that doesn't necessarily mean that this is it. So take all of this with a grain of salt -- treat it as a "Oh, what could have been!" not official confirmation.

Anyway, the pages describe the broad overview of the show and its cast of characters, which include some familiar faces (Leia Organa), children of familiar faces (Kala Calrissian) and completely new characters (a Jedi knight named Sky Bonteri). The basic plot finds the struggling Republic still dealing witch pockets of resistance from Imperial loyalists fifteen years after the destruction of the second Death Star, but both sides are forced into an uneasy alliance when an army of billions of killer droids emerges from the depths of Coruscant, threatening anyone and everyone.

We'll guess that this project was initially developed to tie in with the treatments George Lucas initially wrote for 'Star Wars: Episode 7' but with J.J. Abrams now on board and free to develop his own story completely separate of any idea Lucas had in mind, these storylines and/or characters may not get used.

Check out the pages for yourself below and please share your thoughts and speculation in the comments. Does this sound like something you'd like to watch?
