The Sioux Falls Stampede announced that the club leads the USHL in attendance through the first two and half months of the season. Over 58,700 fans have watched the Herd in action through 15 home games this season, an average of 3,916 per-game. The Stampede are averaging nearly 1,000 more fans per-game from last season at this time, an increase of 32%.

“The entire ownership group is very pleased to be leading the league in attendance through the first half of our home schedule,” stated Stampede CEO/President Tom Garrity. “We would like to thank our outstanding fans and corporate sponsors who have shown tremendous support through the first part of our schedule. We want to build off what we have started and continue to increase our attendance through the second half of the season.”

The club has already recorded two sellouts during the first 15 games (Oct. 5 vs Omaha & Nov. 20 vs Lincoln) and has had crowds of over 4,000 four times.  The team has had at least 3,500 fans at each game so far this season. The Stampede currently has the second best home record in the league at 11-4-0 and sit in first place in the Western Conference with a 15-7-1 overall record.

After a road trip to Lincoln and Omaha this weekend, the Stampede return home next Friday, December 21st and Saturday, December 22nd. The Herd will be celebrating the holidays at both games. On December 22nd, be amongst the first 1,000 fans through the doors and receive a free Stampede Santa hat! Plus, fans will have the chance to meet Santa in person and get a photo before he heads up to the North Pole for his big day.
