Two games into the 2016 Summit League Women's Basketball schedule, South Dakota State is living up to its' pre-season #1 ranking, thanks in no small part to the play of talented sophomore Macy Miller.

The Mitchell native is the Summit League Co-Player of the Week after the first week of league play. She averaged 23 points on 52 percent shooting in a pair of victories last week. She also pulled down six rebounds a game during that stretch.

In last Wednesday's 76-39 win at Denver, Miller had a game-high 17 points to go with six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Sunday, she poured in 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting in a 81-63 win at North Dakota State.

I talked with Jackrabbits head coach Aaron Johnston about those victories and this Thursday's match-up with Omaha and the league's leading scorer, Mikaela Shaw:

Tipoff is 7:00 PM Thursday in Brookings.
