There are three kinds of people who really, really like this kind of weather; skiers, ice fish enthusiasts and those who love to snowmobile.

Hey, snowmobile season is here!

The snowmobile trails across South Dakota are now open.

The majority of trails in the Black Hills are in fair to good condition, with a few thin spots.

Before you head out, be sure to consult a 2017 trail map for current routes. The maps can be picked up at many businesses along the trails or you can request one by calling 605.584.3896 or 605.773.7885.

Trails East River have seen minimal grooming. Snowmobilers are encouraged to check local conditions before riding.
