With much delight we learned of a Winter Weather Advisory for Sioux Falls on Sunday morning. The "much delight" part was with a dash of sarcasm.

At this time we're waking up to rain and a radar mixed with green and blue. The blue - or snow - is falling northeast of Sioux Falls, mostly in Minnesota at this point.

However, as we get into Sunday evening the rain should give way to snow as the temps cool and could leave us with 2 - 4" of the glorious white stuff by Monday morning.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10:00 PM Sunday evening to 9:00 AM Monday morning for Minnehaha, Hanson, Bon Homme, Hutchinson, and Turner counties.

On a cautionary side note: this kind of snow will be wet and heavy so shovel with care. Or, you could do what most folks in these parts say when it snows in the spring - let it melt.

Monday afternoon temps should be near 47 degrees.
