He's one of the most recognizable guitarists in the world, and he's coming to Sioux Falls for the kids on September 28th.

Slash will join the kids on stage at the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy for their first concert as one of the songs they will be performing is Guns N' Roses' cover of the Bob Dylan classic "Knockin' On Heaven's Door".

Academy founder Chuck Brennan met Slash at Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin in July when Slash opened for KISS (who had been at the Academy earlier that day) The pair hit it off and when Slash found out more about the Academy and that the kids were going to be performing one of his old bands' songs, he wanted to come perform with them!

“Can you even begin to comprehend how cool it’s going to be for these kids who just learned how to play and are performing their first little concert in front of their peers to play with Slash?”  Brennan said.

This will be a private event for the Boys & Girls Club kids at the Academy.

The Brennan Rock and Roll Academy is the first music program EVER in support of the Boys and Girls Club. Brennan made a 20-year commitment to the incredible program and facility in which the costs will exceed over $3,600,000.

With so many kids interested in taking music lessons, the Academy can always use more help from local musicians to give some lessons. Click here for more details.
