In a Tuesday morning interview, Mark Cotter of Sioux Falls Public Works tells us the water ban has been lifted!

"We're slowly getting caught up in the waste water system and would like people to limit their use of water throughout the course of the day.  That will allow us to get caught up for what we expect will be the next large rain event taking place tomorrow.  We'll lift the ban but we would like people to still limit their water usage as they go throughout the day."

If we get more rain, Cotter says limiting the use of water will be of help to the city.  "It can!  We're still catching up the amount of liquid that is in the system---all that has to be transported to the waste water plant.  The less amount of liquid we have to manage, the better at this point time."
