Sioux Falls Teen Arrested On Numerous Charges

An overnight traffic stop in Sioux Falls resulted in the arrest of the 17-year-old driver.

Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says police noticed a car with a half of licence plate on the road. When the officer pulled over and approached the vehicle he smelled marijuana coming from the car.

Inside of the car, Clemens says they found quite a few things including some drugs. three baggies of marijuana, pills, and an opened bottle of vodka. There was also a stolen handgun that was found in the car as well.

Clemens says the teen was arrested on a whole host of drug and weapons charges. And for good measure, also a curfew violation.

The teen was taken to JDC waiting a court date.
