Sioux Falls Suspects Arrested Following Home Burglary

Captain Jason Gearman of the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Department says several arrests have been made in connection with a home burglary.

"During the course of the investigation on Monday afternoon we located Aaron Swenson driving a stolen Chevy pickup. This in turn leads up to a person named Anthony Beck. These two men appear to be suspects in the burglary at this time."

Gearman says the two Sioux Falls men face a number of charges.

"Swenson is charged with identity theft, grand theft for the vehicle, burglary third degree, receiving stolen property and possession of meth as well as possession of paraphenalia. Beck, who is on probation for a prior burglary involving weapons, is charged with identity theft, third degree burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of meth and possession of paraphenalia."

Gearman says the two ripped off credit cards that were used to buy thousands of dollars of items from local merchants, including, Sheels, Sunglass Hut, and both east and west side Walmarts.

Aside from Swenson and Beck, Gearman says Whitney Thompson and Brianna Ishamel were also arrested in a local hotel.
